SECURITY OPERATIONS / ENTERPRISE DEFENSE / RISK
Saad Shahid Cybersecurity Analyst | Security Operations
CompTIA Security+ certified Master of Cybersecurity student with an Honours Bachelor of Information Technology and hands-on TryHackMe SEC0 training. Building toward SOC and enterprise security roles through security operations, vulnerability management, network security, incident response, IAM, risk assessment, and technical troubleshooting.
SECURITY PROFILE
Defensive security first. Technical depth behind it.
My current direction is cybersecurity — especially security operations, vulnerability management, network defense, identity and access management, incident response, enterprise security, OT security, and risk.
My IT and software background gives me additional context when investigating systems, configurations, applications, databases, APIs, endpoints, and troubleshooting problems. I use that background to support security work, not replace it.
CAPABILITY MATRIX

Used Git-based deployment and resolved application, database, and configuration issues across development and production environments.
Information Retrieval Project
Built a modular indexer and searcher for 20 topics using TF-IDF, BM25, cosine similarity, and ranked output for up to 1,000 documents per topic.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Troubleshooting, systems thinking, and communication.
DROPLET LAB
Volunteer Software Developer
Translated product specifications into a 19-step offline Android onboarding workflow with checkpoints, permissions, completion checks, and support handoffs.
Troubleshot Android and native build setup using Pixel emulators and an NDK r19 compatibility fix; coordinated technical walkthroughs to understand the Java and C++ codebase.
INSURPRO.CA
Volunteer Web Developer
Resolved a production WordPress editor failure by clearing caches, testing safe mode, reviewing configuration, and isolating 7+ plugins; identified an ElementsKit dependency and completed the update with a controlled workaround.
INDEPENDENT
Programming Tutor
Provide one-to-one programming support, debug code, and explain technical concepts clearly while managing client communication, scheduling, and competing priorities.
